New Coastal Road (NCR) – Réunion Island
Location: Réunion Island, Indian Ocean
Date: 2014 – ongoing
The New Coastal Road (NCR) is one of the most ambitious infrastructure projects in Europe. Designed to replace the old coastal route, which was exposed to landslides and cyclones, the NCR connects Saint-Denis to La Possession via viaducts and dikes built over the sea. With over 12 km in length and a cost exceeding 1.6 billion euros, this project represents an unprecedented technical challenge, ensuring safety and connectivity for more than 70,000 vehicles daily.
ENAR and collaboration with the project
For a project of this magnitude, the quality and reliability of the equipment used are essential. ENAR participated in the NCR by supplying concrete vibration equipment and light machinery that ensured the correct compaction and strength of the concrete in the viaducts and dike structures.
Our products were chosen for their robustness, precision, and ability to operate in extreme conditions, thus contributing to meeting the project's demanding safety and durability standards.

Collaboration
ENAR provided specialized training to optimize the use of our equipment in marine environments and ensure maximum efficiency at every stage of concreting.
Thanks to this synergy, the project progressed on schedule and ensured the required structural quality for an infrastructure that defies the harshest conditions.
